skype-android_original-179
The wait for iPad users is finally over. Skype’s native client for iOS devices which was exclusively available for the iPhone/iPod Touch is now also available for the iPad.
The free Skype app as usual first entered the New Zealand app store on Tuesday and then started entering other international stores including the US. The new app makes full use of iPad/iPad 2’s bigger screen making for crisp and clear video chat over. iPad 2 users will get two-way video calling while the first-generation iPad owners will only receive video.
The biggest difference between Apple’s Facetime and Skype is that Skype’s native client allows for video calling via 3G as well.
