"Mango" Update for Windows Phone on its Way

windows-phone-logoThe newest update for Windows Phone, named as "Mango,"has been released to phone manufacturers. Terry Myerson, Vice President of Windows Phone Engineering revealed in his blog that the update code had been provided to phone manufacturers and would come pre-installed in new Windows Phone handsets and would also available as an update for pre-existing Windows Phone handsets.

Microsoft has chalked out a number of changes that the Mango update brings to the table (Microsoft has claimed that number stretches up to 500) including changes to social networking using apps, integration of email, social networking and messaging and the Internet Explorer 9 browser.
Microsoft will hope that the Mango update helps Windows Phone handsets rise in the popularity charts since Microsoft themselves admitted that the response to Windows Phone 7 has been underwhelming.
